I took off work a few days this week to spend time with my Mom, who came out to visit for a couple weeks, and son, Hayden. It was very fun, but exhausting; a 2 year old is one busy human.

I also got the chance to dust off my camera a take a few decent shots at the Seattle Zoo. I think I still have a ton of practice ahead of me, but I am starting to see some improvement in my photographs.

I am very excited, I got my new camera yesterday, a Canon 20D. I am looking to get back into taking more pictures again. I think I mostly got out of photography since it became such a pain dealing with film. I felt that I was too afraid to experiment, maybe just too cheap.

So far I really like the camera; I definitely feel that I can learn a good bit about photography with this camera, and since I got a 2 GB compact flash card, no reason to be afraid of taking tons of pictures.
