Stepford Wives

Ok, so while Val and I were snowed in yesterday (got about 2 feet of snow), we decided to watch the Stepford Wives. Over all a pretty disappointing movie, I can't really put my finger on what made it bad. Maybe it wasn't that bad, but just not really all that good. In my opinion what makes a movie good, is when it's over you somehow feel slightly different. This movie did not do that at all, I really did not care about the characters or the story that much.

So if you interested in wasting 92 minutes, give it a try. 2 / 5

Day After Tomorrow

It was not a bad movie, typical summer movie, the special effects were pretty cool, and the story was not that bad. 4 / 5 mostly for special effects. It was a little freaky, after watching the movie it was starting to snow. You have to love spring in Colorado, we got about 15" last night, and it is still snowing.

I, Robot and Shark Tale

Got to watch both I, Robot and Shark Tale this weekend. I, Robot was a really cool action movie. Special effects we definitely up there. 4 / 5.

Shark Tale was just and average move, not really bad, but not as funny as some of the other animated features . 3 / 5

Really great documentary. This is something every American should watch. I have to say, after watching this movie, it really makes consider not ever eating at a fast food restaurant again. 5 / 5

Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle

Really funny film, had several pretty stupid parts that were not really necessary, but overall a good film. If you don't take your movie watching too seriously, you will like this film. How can you go wrong with Doogie Howser stealing a car and trashing it with a bunch of strippers. 4 / 5.

Blockbuster Online Queue

About a month ago, I signed up for Blockbuster Online. So far I really like the service. I had Netflix a few years ago, and they are pretty much the same. The main reason I quite Netflix is we caught up on most of the movies we wanted to see, that may not happen again, since we don't go out too the movies to often anymore, slightly more difficult with a 12 month old.

I got the idea from Tony, one of the MSN Spaces Team members, to put a quick opinion of each movie. So here it goes:

Ray - A really great movie, really takes you into Ray Charles life. 4.5 / 5

Elf - Really funny, Will Ferrell at his best. 4 / 5

Shaun of the Dead - You have to love flesh eating zombies. 4 / 5

Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story - Just ok, but you always need to laugh when someone get hit in the balls. 3 / 5

Village - Good movie, unfortunately I knew the secret before I got to see the movie, so that took something out of it. 4 / 5

Envy - Glad I did not see this in the theater, it was ok, but nothing special. 3 / 5

Napoleon Dynamite - Really funny, nothing like a movie about nothing. 4 / 5

Ocean's 12

We went to go see Ocean's 12 on Saturday afternoon. Since we have a 9 month old it is always a challenge to go out to the movies, so we tend to try to go in the afternoon, in an attempt to disturb the least amount of people as possible. But he was very well behaved through out the movie.

I have to say it was not as good as 11, but still a pretty good movie. Ocean's 11 is to me a great movie that can be watched over and over again, I'm not so sure about 12. If I had to rate it, and anyone cared what my rating would be, I guess I would give it 3 1/2 stars out of 5.
